Advantages of Experiential Learning

There are many advantages of experiential learning for businesses. It has specific objectives that will implement a different way of thinking for everyone. By breaking down things like communication; team bonding; time management etc; we will show the teams why it is important to work hard at these things and the results that can be achieved if done well.

Although these things can be taught in a class environment, our experiential learning events focus on methods like Belbin, Myers Briggs and Insights. We feel that by providing these lessons through completing an action will stick in everyone’s mind and; they get the understanding of how important it is to work on these skills to all reach a common goal.

Most of our experiential learning and development events are classroom based. Although this may be true, we do like to take the group outdoors where possible. This offers some added challenges with exciting activities to implement what they have learned. Our event managers are trained in various method of experiential learning.

Learning & Development

Learning & Development are specialised activities. These are for business who want to do well and strive for success. These events will bring everyone together by providing a learning experience in which everyone learns with the intention that they bring their experiences back into the work place. It’s very beneficial for staff have issues; whether big or small; as it gets everyone out of the work place in a different environment and starts to build new relationships.

Prior to the event, our professional event managers will speak to the event organiser to find out what the struggles are within the team. This is to ensure we can tailor the messages and team building activities to the most appropriate. It is inevitable that within the work environment problems can arise. By having some activities that are not work related it can iron the issues out and show a different way on how to deal with the situations.

By assessing the behavioural contribution individuals make to your teams, rather than an abstract psychometric test which will tell you about their personality, Belbin looks at how people actually behave in the workplace and which roles they are best suited to take on in a team environment through Team Roles.

Myers Briggs

The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® (MBTI®) personality inventory is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people’s lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behaviour is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgement.
