The stylish and elegant Mill of Dess Lodge in the heart of Royal Deeside offers Aberdeen companies a discreet and quiet location for activities, staff training and all manner of corporate events – and all less than an hour’s drive from the city centre.
The Lodge is set in the privately owned Lower Dess estate which occupies 428 acres on the north bank of the river Dee. It was completely rebuilt from it’s previous incarnation as a cattle barn by the current owner. Our corporate guests can make use of the spacious and gracious dining room with a vast table to seat eighteen people in comfort. The large sitting room with central wood burner offers a luxurious and expansive relaxation space. In addition the house has ten king-size double bedrooms each with a private bathroom.
The Lower Dess estate, which surrounds the Lodge on all sides, owns over two miles of the river Dee. For fly fishermen wanting to catch an Atlantic Salmon, the Dee is a world renown venue and our corporate clients can book to fish one or all of the four rods available – and all under the experienced eye of the estate ghillie Eoin who is on hand to instruct and encourage beginners and experienced rods alike.
For those seeking corporate fishing events in Scotland, the award-winning Upper Fishing Hut is an ideal venue for break-out sessions and the view from Mill Cottage, just across the field from the Lodge, will soothe the most battle-weary soul.
The Lodge is fully serviced and staffed. The Lodge Manager and her staff are on hand throughout any event to ensure that the precise requirements of our corporate visitors are met down to the finest detail. There is also plenty outdoor space for group activities.
